CPS (Competency and Performance Solutions) specializes in interactive, accelerated learning solutions, that achieve sustainable, measurable results.

Key areas where CPS brings value to our clients’ business results:

1. Thinking skills: CPS’s clients rely on excellent individual and collaborative thinking skills to keep a competitive advantage in a complex world, that often includes thinking with others across differences and distances.

Our clients expect CPS to identify and train them in the specific thinking skills that will make them successful and benefit their business process.  They do not have time for 1001 learning points – they expect CPS to ensure that they have the right “toolbox” of excellent thinking skills, that leads to successful project delivery, strategic planning, collaborative operational planning, and the ability to execute of management and leadership tasks.

Our clients don’t want canned, off-the-shelf programs – they want their teams to spend training-time mastering specific, relevant skills. They see measurable results in their  problem solving, rigorous individual and team thinking,  innovation and creativity.

2. Communication skills: Our clients master the ability to write (and e-write) quickly, clearly and effectively in a world of skim-readers and multi-taskers.  They make presentations that people remember, and communicate effectively across differences and distances. They bring in projects successfully, to standard, on time, and on budget. They invest in managerial and team communication with measurable dollar-based results.

3. Bridging differences: In a world of differences, our clients need people to work effectively across different worldviews, experiences and knowledge bases. They need to communicate clearly, without misunderstandings created by the blinkers of assumptions. CPS works with them around:

a) Occupational culture:  How can IT understand Clinical?  Can Marketing identify how to work with Engineering, and Sales finally “get” Finance and Dispatch?

b) Diversity of thought and personality: How can different team members work harmoniously, from their  different thinking and relating styles? How can these differences become team assets for both innovation and execution?

c) International cultures:  This often relates to building strong relationships with international partners and customers in a global economy.

d) Diverse and multi-cultural team-building.  CPS’ customers are seldom interested in “diversity circa 1995″ work. They usually share our vision of differentness as a strategic opportunity to grow and innovate, and view inclusiveness-diversity as all types of differentness,  including generation, disability, gender, ethnicity, hobbies, experiences, language etc.

They also see the strategic challenge of differentness, and seek out CPS’ multiple-intelligence based, interactive inclusiveness-diversity programs that  draw teams together, and highlight the many benefits of differences as a competitive advantage in business.

4.Management and team processes: CPS has exceptional experience in business consulting and management training and coaching. Our clients trust us to see where there are problems to solve, or opportunities to leverage, and to give them to tools to succeed in any situation.collaborative management, performance management etc.

5. Competencies: competency-based selection, training, performance and succession planning systems, with a special interest in buddy-based programs, and competency-referenced onboarding programs.
